About
We’re so glad you’re here! This page is designed to answer some of the most common questions we receive. We hope you’ll find what you need quickly and easily. And if you don’t see your question listed, feel free to reach out; we’re always happy to help.

Do you buy used books?
We don’t offer cash for used books, but we do offer store credit for items that we are able to accept. Credit can be used toward books only because turning old stories into new ones is kind of our thing. Please see our trade credit policy for more information!
What type of books do you accept?
What We’re Looking For
We’re always excited to see what books you’re bringing in—honestly, it’s one of our favorite parts of the job. That said, not every book is the right fit for our shelves.
We’re most likely to say “yes” to:
-
Books in great shape (the kind you’d be happy to buy yourself)
-
Contemporary fiction, popular nonfiction, and timeless classics
-
Kids’ books that are clean and ready for another round of storytime
We’ll probably pass on:
-
Anything damaged, musty, or missing pages
-
Any textbooks or reference books that are out of date
-
Heavily worn paperbacks that have seen one too many beach trips
-
Activity books that have already been “well loved” (aka completed)
We will not take:
-
Reader's Digest
-
Encyclopedias
-
Dictionaries
-
Mass series (Harlequin, Dell, Inspirational Romance, etc.)
We do our best to curate a collection our community will love, so thanks for understanding our pickiness—it’s how we keep the shop special.

Do you hold books?
We’re happy to place books on hold for a short time—just give us a call or message us. Holds are typically available for one week.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Gift certificates are available in-store and make a great gift for any book lover.

Can I call to see if you have a specific book?
Absolutely. Our inventory is always changing, but we’re happy to check the shelves for you. Call us at 765-626-6669!
Do I need an appointment to bring in books?
No appointment needed! Just bring them in during store hours. If you have a large number of books, we may ask you to bring them in smaller batches.
